Assistant Buyer

Pallidus, Inc., is a fast-growing producer of large diameter Silicon Carbide wafers for high power and high frequency semiconductor applications in Transportation, Green Energy, Telecommunication, and Industrial markets.  Pallidus’ M-SiC™ technology delivers step change improvements in SiC quality and cost effectiveness to drive wafer to device yield performance.   Pallidus is a high energy, technology driven, and innovative startup company looking for like-minded people to join our team. 

SCOPE

The Assistant Buyer will assist the purchasing and supply chain organization.  This individual supports all planning of production, sales execution, and purchasing activities including supplier quality.   This is an entry level administration position with opportunity to grow for the right candidate within the supply chain organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Support all sourcing tasks and administration including customer, vendor and internal stakeholder reporting and documentation

·         Work closely with other team members to enter orders, acknowledgement dates, and new vendors

·         Build and maintain relationships with vendors and customers

·         Assist with vendor research and selection, compile quality reports on vendors, and assist with monitoring vendor activities

·         Assist in customer order entry and communications, including order COA and delivery

·         Assist in inventory and purchasing controllership as needed including receipts and payments, follow up with AP on timely payments

REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or similar preferred; High School Diploma or GED considered with relevant experience

·         1-3 years of experience in a Purchasing, Customer Service, Supply Chain and or Business Administration is preferred

·         Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while operating safely, efficiently, and in a high-quality manner

·         Highly organized and detail oriented

·         Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

·         Experience with MS Office required, experience with ERP systems (Oracle) preferred.

·         Experience and track record of success working with vendors and customers

·         Must be a US Citizen or be a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. to meet Export Control requirements
